Spring is nearly upon us and things are looking good at Milkwood

After finishing the roundhouse build the space in now ready to start taking groups. This week we had the pleasure of hosting a group from Men’s Shed Haverfordwest. A delightful group of chaps who soon after arriving had a quick tour of the wood and a brew before having a go at bowl turning on a pole lathe. Then while lunch was prepared and cooked on the open fire had a go at whittling, first using a a section of branch wood made themselves a coat hook then in the afternoon we did a little spoon carving.

Other news is we’ve been awarded funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for the second time. This will make it possible for us to have wheelchair access and we’re also hoping to soon offer our facility to children with autism and learning difficulties.
